Creating a new location
To create a new location, the following steps are necessary:
Interaction between the VMS and the customer's billing system
Availability of the CSA code in the CSA code database
The creation of a new location is performed using the create_location method.
Algorithm for creating a new location:
After a new contract is signed in the customer's billing system, a request is sent to the VMS to create a new location
The request should include the CSA code and the contract number for legal entities.
A provisioning event «Billing. Create Location» occurs (for more information about provisioning events, see the «Provisioning events» page)
The VMS checks the request for the presence of the CSA code in the VMS and then in the CSA code database
If this step fails, a provisioning event «Billing. Failed to Create Location» occurs (for more information about provisioning events, see the «Provisioning events» page), and the process is terminated.
A new location is created in the VMS
In the administrator interface, a new location (address) is created in the camera tree according to the CSA code. Cameras can be added to this address for individual customers and legal entities based on the contract number in the respective tabs (for more information, see the «View, add and edit camera data» page)
