Recommendations for working with the Desktop client

To ensure proper operation of the Desktop client, it is recommended to disable "Sleep mode" to avoid camera malfunctions.

To disable "Sleep mode":

  • Open "Control panel," select "Hardware and sound," and open the "Power options" tab

  • Choose the power plan "Balanced" and click on "Change plan settings."

  • On the settings page, next to the options "Turn off the display" and "Put the computer to sleep," select "Never" from the drop-down menu

  • Click on "Change advanced power settings" and check the following:

    • Hard disk → Turn off hard disk → Value: 20 minutes

    • Internet Explorer → JavaScript timer frequency → Value: Maximum performance

    • Desktop background settings → Slide show → Value: Available

    • Wireless adapter settings → Power saving mode → Value: Maximum performance

    • Sleep:

      • Sleep after → Value: Never

      • Hibernate after → Value: Never

      • Allow wake timers → Value: Enable

    • USB settings → USB selective suspend setting → Value: Enabled

    • PCI Express → Link state power management → Value: Moderate power savings

    • Processor power management:

      • Minimum processor state → Setting: 5%

      • Maximum processor state → Setting: 100%

    • Display → Turn off display after → Value: Never

    • Multimedia settings:

      • When sharing media → Value: Prevent idling to sleep

      • Video playback quality change → Value: Change video playback quality

      • When playing video → Value: Optimize video quality
