Searching for an available media server

When distributing video streams to a media server, an available and least loaded media server is selected.

When selecting a media server, the following checks are performed:

• Is the «Active» setting enabled in the media server card

• The number of primary streams that can be allocated to this media server («Number of threads limit» setting)

• The sum of incoming traffic for all created streams on this media server should not exceed the specified value («Incoming traffic limit, kbps» setting). The media server with the lowest sum of incoming traffic for created primary streams is selected first

• The camera group type is also taken into account: Public, Private, or All

Additionally, the server is unavailable for distribution if the disk usage exceeds 80% on each disk (in the base configuration).
