Resources requirements

The required resources are virtual machines (VMs). Virtual machine 1 (VM1) is used to run VMS (Video Management System) and Mediaserver. Virtual machine 2 (VM2) is required only for the Analytics component. The VMs are designed to run the application containers in the Kubernetes environment.

The requirements for the virtual machines are the following:

• VM1: qty 1

  • 8 vCPU

  • 16GB vRAM

  • vDisk1: 100GB (sda), the system

  • vDisk2: 500GB (sdb), the persistent storage for containers

  • vDisk3: 1TB (sdc), the storage for Mediaserver

  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

• VM2: qty 1

  • 12 vCPU

  • 24GB vRAM

  • vDisk1: 100GB (sda), the system

  • OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

The configuration of the analytics worker nodes depends on the actual application load, meaning that one CPU is necessary for each analytics case.
