Introduction to VMS

Video Management System (VMS) stands as the command nucleus for the Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) platform, dedicated to video surveillance operations.

It serves as the central hub for orchestrating all components of the video surveillance system, ensuring their operational capability, and facilitating interaction with other products of the VSaaS platform.

Essentially, it acts as the foundational management core for setting up and adjusting the video surveillance system's configurations.

The main features are as follows:

  • Comprehensive setup of the video surveillance system.

  • Ensuring its operational capability and interaction with other products within the VSaaS architecture.

The main capabilities of VMS are as follows:

  • Management of cameras, devices, and users.

  • Management of hardware and virtual resources of media servers.

  • Multitenancy – allocation of separate virtual video surveillance systems for organizations and individual customers.

  • Delegate a segment of the virtual video surveillance system's management to the end user.

  • Manage sessions, handle user inquiries, distribute client software, and provide guidance for their use.

  • Manage statistics and incidents investigation with an adaptable reporting framework.

  • Integration with client security systems.

  • Integration with billing systems and operator CRM.

  • Unite various decentralized video monitoring networks.

  • Configure remote access to IP cameras and video archives.

  • Video streaming and recording.

  • Adjust settings to accommodate user preferences.

  • Ensure fault tolerance of the video surveillance system to provide uninterrupted operation.
