Cameras. Live
In Live mode, each camera has a set of controls. Depending on the camera model, this set may differ.
You can manage all the cameras on the opened layout. For details on how to manage all the cameras on the opened layout, see the The toolbar. Live article.

Viewing cameras live
Select the camera cell to activate it | To manage an individual camera on the layout, activate the cell for this camera. You can select the camera cell on the layout by left-click. As a result, the cell will be highlighted. Select Esc to remove highliting of the cell. |

The following is a detailed description of the controls and functions.
Enable and disable audio
If there is a sound track on the camera, then when viewing the camera broadcast, a sound on/off button is displayed.
The PTZ function
If the camera supports the PTZ function, then when viewing the camera broadcast, the camera control button is displayed.
After clicking the button, a panel with buttons for rotating the camera, as well as zooming in and out of the image will be displayed.

Since there may be a delay in camera control, it is recommended to press the direction or zoom button once and wait for the camera to respond, then press the button once again.
To reset the settings to the original settings, click on the central icon.
To exit the PTZ camera control mode, you must press the control button or the X button on the camera control panel again.
Create a quick event
The function is designed to create a quick event at the current moment in time.
After clicking the button, a notification about the creation of the event is displayed.

When viewing a camera in the Archive/DVR section, the event is displayed on the camera timeline as a marker.
You can view and edit quick events in the Events section of the User events tab.
Capture a screenshot
The function is designed to save a screenshot to a PNG file.
It is also possible to make a screenshot of a layout to save simultaneously the images from all the cameras. The relevant icon is located on the toolbar of the Live section. For details, see this page.
You can select the default directory where files will be saved. The directory is specified in the Settings section. If a directory is not specified, a directory selection window will be displayed each time you save.
After clicking the button, the screenshot saving form is displayed:

The form displays camera data:
Camera name
Address
Date and time at the time of saving
In order to apply this data to the image, enable the Apply metadata to screenshot setting.
Save the photo by pressing the button:
Copy screenshot – copy the screenshot to the clipboard
Save screenshot – save the screenshot to a PNG file
If the settings specify the path for saving exported files, the file will be automatically saved to the selected directory. If the path is not specified, a directory selection window will be displayed each time the file is uploaded.
Change the quality of the video stream
There is a choice of image quality:
HD – high quality.
SD – low quality.
The icon in the player indicates the selected quality of the video stream. When you click on the icon, the quality of the video stream changes.
Changing the quality is only possible if there are two video streams.
If you open a template that includes only one camera, then HD quality is set by default.
If the image of one of the layout cameras is expanded to cover the entire work area, then HD quality is set by default. After returning to viewing the layout, the quality changes to SD (if HD quality was not previously selected).
The selected quality is saved for the camera after saving the layout.
View an image in full-screen mode
When you press the button, the image of the selected camera opens full screen. This displays all controls.
To return to viewing the layout, press the full screen mode button again or the «Esc» key on the keyboard.
Remove a camera from a layout
When you press the button, the camera is removed from the current layout. To save changes, you must save the layout.
If you clicked the button accidentally, close the layout without saving changes and reopen it.
Digital enlargement/reduction of the image
Move the slider to the right/left to enlarge/reduce the image, respectively.

It is also possible to zoom using the keyboard and mouse. To do this, move the cursor over the camera, hold down the CTRL key and rotate the mouse wheel up/down.
Also, to change the detail, move the cursor over the timeline and rotate the mouse wheel up/down to zoom in/out of the image, respectively.
To move an enlarged image, move the cursor over it, hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse in the desired direction.
Rotate the camera to cover the entire working area
You can enlarge the image of any camera to the size of the working area. To do this, double-click the left mouse button on any free space in the desired cell.
As a result, the image of the selected camera will occupy the entire work area. This displays all controls.
After expanding the image, the quality changes to high (if there are two video streams).
To return to viewing the layout, double-click the left mouse button again on any free space in the image.
