Recommendations for working with the Desktop client
Troubleshooting an issue when launching the Desktop client
When installing the Desktop client to a directory without the enabled access to it, a dialogue window will be displayed to notify on it.
To resolve the issue, you may:
Select another directory.
Start the installation process as an administrator.
Enable access to store files.
Disable Sleep mode
To ensure proper operation of the Desktop client, it is recommended to disable Sleep mode in Microsoft Windows to avoid camera malfunctions.
To disable Sleep mode:
Open Control panel, select Hardware and sound, and open the Power options tab.
Choose the Balanced power plan and select Change plan settings.
On the settings page, next to the Turn off the display option and Put the computer to sleep, select Never from the drop-down menu.
Select Change advanced power settings and check the following:
Hard disk >Turn off hard disk > Value: 20 minutes.
Microsoft Edge >JavaScript timer frequency >Value: Maximum performance.
Desktop background settings > Slide show > Value: Available.
Wireless adapter settings > Power saving mode > Value: Maximum performance
Sleep:
Sleep after > Value: Never.
Hibernate after > Value: Never.
Allow wake timers > Value: Enable.
USB settings > USB selective suspend setting > Value: Enabled.
PCI Express > Link state power management > Value: Moderate power savings.
Processor power management:
Minimum processor state > Setting: 5%.
Maximum processor state > Setting: 100%.
Display > Turn off display after > Value: Never.
Multimedia settings:
When sharing media > Value: Prevent idling to sleep.
Video playback quality change > Value: Change video playback quality.
When playing video > Value: Optimize video quality.
