Analytics cases

The Analytics cases tab is the primary element of the analytics interface, providing the ability to create new analytics cases, monitor their status, and view statistics.

On the page, you can find a list of existing analytics cases. For each case, the following information is provided:

  • An analytics case name.

  • An analytics type.

  • An analytics case status.

  • A number of cameras involved in the analytics case.

  • A case creation date.

  • The Delete button.

The Analytics cases tab

The Cameras count column is displayed when the user has access to archived and current events on the cameras.

Selecting a row navigates you to the page for viewing analytics results and configuring the case. Details are provided in the View and edit analytics cases documentation section.

The Events button displays a notification counter when the Display event in sidebar reaction is configured.

You can search by analytics case name.

The records can be filtered by:

  • Analytics type

  • Case status

You can set the number of items displayed per page: 15, 25, 50, or 100.

Analytics case statuses

Status

Color code

Description

Active

Green

  • All camera streams are operational. Events are triggered from all cameras. Streams are active.

  • The user paused a camera. Events aren’t triggered. Streams are active.

Partially active

Yellow

  • One of the cameras in the analytics case is offline. This wasn’t initiated by a user.

  • Events aren’t triggered.

  • Stream is inactive.

Paused

Orange

  • The user temporarily paused the analytics case.

  • Camera events aren’t triggered for this analytics case.

  • Camera streams are active.

Inactive

Red

  • All cameras are offline due to a non-user-initiated issue.

  • Camera events are not triggered.

  • Camera streams are inactive.

Add an analytics case

To add an analytics case, select Add. This will take you to the page where you add a new case.

The process may vary depending on the type of analytics, as described in the Add an analytics case documentation section.

Delete an analytics case

For details about how to delete an analytics case, see this documentation page.

If a camera stream used in a case is removed, the case will also be automatically deleted.
