Getting started with the platform after installation
After you've successfully deployed the platform and installed its components like the VMS, Media Server, Analytics, and monitoring and logging tools, your next key step is to get the unique URLs for each. Then, you'll launch each component individually for the first time.
To get a list of these URLs, simply use the command below. It'll give you all the current links you need to access every part of your platform:
./get-urls.sh
Upon obtaining the mentioned URLs, you may proceed with the initial launch and subsequent configuration of each component. Comprehensive instructions regarding the utilization of these URLs, the inaugural launch, and the detailed configuration of each component are provided within their respective documentation pages:
VMS – complete surveillance system configuration via the Administrator interface. The administrator interface allows you to perform a full surveillance system configuration. This includes adding cameras to the platform, creating and managing users.
Mediaserver – add and configure the Mediaserver to the video surveillance platform through the Administrator interface. The Mediaserver is a crucial component designed for receiving and managing streams from cameras. It processes all multimedia data, ensuring the capture, encoding, storage, and transmission of video, audio, and metadata streams.
Analytics – configure and manage the Analytics module using its administrative interface. This is where you'll specify the types of analytics the server will process, activating your video surveillance platform's ability to detect and analyze various events.
External access to resources
To enable external access to your platform resources, take the following steps:
Create appropriate NAT rules.
Configure domain names.
Replace self-signed certificates.
