Download and install thе Desktop client

Download the Desktop client

To download the Desktop client, in the web browser, navigate to the VMS page. On the opened authorization page, select the Download the app (→) icon.

Downloading the Desktop client

On the opened page, select the Download app for Windows button to start downloading the VMS Desktop client.

Once the file is downloaded, execute it to initiate the Desktop client installation process.

Install the Desktop client

The Desktop client installation requires the Internet connection to download an additional software – Framework .NET Desktop Runtime.

The .NET framework is required for the Desktop client to properly run.

  • For Desktop versions 23.12 and 24.03 – Framework .NET Desktop Runtime version 7.0 is required.

  • For the 24.09 Desktop version – Framework .NET Desktop Runtime version 8.0 is required.

The Desktop client can be installed without .NET. You can install .NET at any time after that.

If you're not connected to the Internet, you'll see the following error message when trying to install the Desktop client.

The error when no Internet connection is available

Use one of the following buttons to perform an action:

  • Abort – to cancel installation and delete installed files.

  • Retry – to retry connection.

  • Ignore – to finish installation without .Net. Selecting Ignore initiates the following message:

An error when downloading .Net

In this case, select Ignore to skip downloading .Net and continue with the Desktop installation.

Once the Desktop client is installed, download and install a relevant version of .Net.
