Types of Analytics
There are three categories of Analytics available to the client, grouped by the need to use certain algorithms for processing video streams, as well as performing and defining specific tasks and business cases.
More information about how Analytics works is in the Analytics section of the VMS web user guide.
Analytics Group. Level 1
Loud sounds detection
An automatic tool for detecting loud sound phenomena using the camera microphone. The business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need to establish the presence of loud sounds, with mandatory notification at specified detection thresholds of this phenomenon.
Event: Sound detection
Smoke and fire detection
An automatic tool for localizing and detecting smoke and open flames in a designated area of the video stream. The business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need to establish the presence of smoke or fire, with mandatory notification at specified detection thresholds of this phenomenon. The business case can be used for small, limited spaces.
Event: Smoke and fire detection
Line crossing detection
An automatic tool for localizing and establishing the fact of crossing a designated line in the video stream. The business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need for constant monitoring of the entry/exit of objects from designated areas of premises/territories, with mandatory notification of the detection of crossing the specified line.
Event: Line crossing detection
Camera damage/overlap/vandalism detection
An automatic tool for localizing and establishing the fact of camera damage/overlap/vandalism activity. The business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need for constant monitoring of camera “life activity”, with mandatory notification at specified detection thresholds of this phenomenon.
Event: Camera damage detection
Intrusion detection
An automatic tool for motion detection in a designated area of the video stream. The business case can be applied in various scenarios that require tracking of various object movement in particular areas of premises or territories, with mandatory notification when the triggered events occur.
Event: Detection of intrusion into an area
Analytics Group. Level 2
Objects counting in an area
An automatic tool for detecting and exact counting the number of people in a designated area of the video stream. The business case can be applied in various scenarios that require constant monitoring of the number of people in specific areas of premises or territories, with mandatory notification when the triggered events occur.
Event: Object counting in an area
Visitors counting
An automatic localization tool for accurately determining the number of people who have passed through a certain area/passageway over a certain period of time. This business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need for counting overall traffic, analyzing the attendance of an object/location by months, days of the week, hours, and minutes.
Event: Visitor detection
Analytics Group. Level 3
Face recognition
An automatic localization tool for detecting human faces in a video stream and identifying a person's identity based on a resource's benchmark model (photo, image) in existing databases. This business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need to establish the identity of a visitor or guest and respond to this event.
Event: Face Identified, Face Not Identified
License plate recognition
An automatic localization tool for detecting the license plate of a vehicle in a video stream and identifying it based on a resource (alphanumeric sequence) in existing databases. This business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need to establish the license plates of vehicles and, if necessary, respond to this event.
Event: Plate Identified, Plate Not Identified
Container number recognition
A tool for automatic localization and recognition of container numbers in a designated area of a video stream. The business case can be applied in various use cases where there is a need to identify container numbers, and, if necessary, react to this event.
Event: Container number recognition
