The Visitors counting analytics type

The Visitors counting analytics type is engineered to detect and count people crossing an intersection line that is configured during the creation of this analytics type.

The Visitors counting analytics type allows the following analytics events:

  • Visitors counting. This involves the detection of individuals as they cross a predetermined boundary within the field of view of the surveillance system. In addition to counting the number of people, the system is also capable of identifying gender and age.

Step 1. Name and type

Step 1

  • Enter the name of the analytics case.

  • Select the Visitors counting analytics type from the list.

  • Select Next to proceed to step 2.

Step 2. Events and reactions

Here, you set an appropriate analytics event and reactions to these events.

Further, on step 4 (Set up Analytics), you’ll use this list to select events and reactions when setting up each camera.

At the same time, the event will still be recorded and displayed in the event list for this analytics case.

  3. Select Manage reactions to choose and modify a reaction for the selected event. On the opened panel, manage the relevant reaction types.

When multiple cameras are added to a case, there may be instances where some are not added due to an error during the case creation process. In such scenarios, an error message will be displayed. Despite this, the case creation will continue. The case will appear in the list with an icon indicating that there was an error in adding the camera. This icon will remain visible until the next update of the case.

If an error occurs while adding all the specified cameras:

  • An error message will be displayed.
