Auto-provisioning
Auto provisioning is the procedure of automatically adding and configuring a camera. Auto provisioning involves the automatic creation of a location, entity, and camera profile, reserving an IP address for the camera using a DHCP server, and receiving and transmitting camera streams to the Mediaserver. The stages of auto provisioning can be tracked through the VMS administrator interface (see Provisioning).
A mandatory requirement for applying auto provisioning is the use of the customer addressing system or similar systems.
For more information about auto provisioning, refer to the Auto-Provisioning Algorithm and Methods.
There are also additional options for adding cameras and video streams:
Manually adding video streams during automatic camera addition (see Automatic camera addition and manual video stream setup).
Manually adding a camera and video streams (see Manual camera and video stream addition).
