FAQ. The VSaaS platform

In the FAQ section, you can find answers to the frequently asked questions.

What is cloud video surveillance?

Cloud video surveillance is a sophisticated ensemble of video surveillance systems that interact with a remote server, referred to as the ‘cloud’. This configuration facilitates instantaneous access to live video feeds and stored footage recorded by cameras.

What is the video surveillance platform used for?

The video surveillance platform is engineered to streamline the operation of the video system and enhance its productivity. This platform is capable of tackling a broad spectrum of tasks, including the reception, processing, transmission, and storage of video and audio data from cameras and other devices. The specific application of the platform will dictate whether basic video surveillance software or a Video Management System (VMS) is needed, with the potential to handle tens of thousands of video channels. In addition, the software aids in swift response to events, incident prevention, and efficient incident investigation.

What products does the platform consist of?

The platform consists of the following main solutions:

  • VMS (Video Management System) is the central management core for configuring the video surveillance system.

  • Mediaserver is a high-performance server for processing video, audio, and data information.

  • Analytics provides intelligent analysis and processing of video streams from various sources.

For more information about each product, see the corresponding documentation sections: VMS, Mediaserver, Analytics.
