Cameras with the installed Agent

In the Cameras section, you can add and view cameras that feature the installed firmware Agent.

Users of our platform can now independently connect cameras of the manufacturers – Hikvision and Tiandy – with the installed firmware Agent.

Users independently connect a camera to a local network with access to the Internet and set up this camera.

Add a camera

The camera can be added in one of the following ways:

  • In the Administrator interface from the Devices > Cameras list section.

  • In the Web interface of the user. See the details below.

When you open the tab for the first time, the list is empty.

To add a camera, select the Add camera button.

On the opened panel, specify the following information:

  • A camera name.

  • Select the option to add a camera:

    • Use a MAC address of a camera device.

    • Use a serial number of a camera device.

A MAC address and a serial number can be found on the camera device. A MAC address is represented as a 12-digit sequence of numbers and Latin letters from A to F.

When the fields are completed, select Add to finalize adding a camera.

An error message will appear on the form if the data is entered incorrectly or the camera failed to get connected.

Once successfully connected, you start receiving data from the device.

The added camera is listed in the cameras list from the left side. Select a camera name to expand the device information.

View information about the camera

The camera details are grouped on the following tabs:

  • General information

  • Video Streams

  • Access Rights

  • Archive

The General information tab opens when you select the camera name.

Under About device, you can track the following details:

  • A name

  • A manufacturer

  • A model

  • A serial number

Under Network settings, you can track the following information:

  • An IP address

  • A MAC address

You can also track a static image that was received from the camera once you opened the tab.

The Video Streams tab

On the Video Streams tab, you can view the addresses of the high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) streams. No editing is available

The Access rights tab

On this tab, the user can view the list of sub users who they granted access to this camera.

The tab is displayed only if the administrator granted the Users access level to this user and permitted to view and manage users.

The list of added users

Here, the following management options are available:

  • Add a user. Select Add user to add a new user. Selecting this button will navigate you to the Settings section to add a new user. This newly created user will be granted access to this camera by default, and that is reflected in the Cameras access permissions.

  • Edit the list. Selecting Edit list will navigate you to the Settings section to view the list of existing sub users.

The Archive tab

In the Archive tab, you can view and edit the archive recording settings for each added camera.

In the Local storage section, you can find the list of local storage connected to the camera. Each local storage is displayed with the following information:

  • The storage capacity

  • Video duration

To configure the Cloud Archive recording settings, enable it by dragging the On toggle. Specify the number of days to store the archive – minimum is 1 (one) day.
