Event markers on the player timeline (Android, iOS)

An event marker is a visual indication on a timeline of the exact moment an event occurred, represented by a colored mark.

Event markers are presented on the archive part of the timeline if the camera has the archive enables. These markers are visible only to users with the permission to view markers. The Marks >View marks permission is granted to the user by the administrator.

The markers related to the user events are displayed by default. To view markers for the other event types, use one of the options:

  • Use the Filter option from the camera events feed. For details, see the Camera events feed article.

  • From the Events tab, select an event to view in the player. When the player opens, the timeline will feature the markers of all events of the selected event type. For details, navigate to the Events section.
