ONVIF settings
On the ONVIF settings tab, the administrator can view and manage the connection settings for ONVIF-compatible cameras. ONVIF S and T profile cameras can be seamlessly added to existing systems, regardless of the manufacturer, providing scalability and optimization for your video system. The VMS administrator can connect ONVIF-compatible cameras to the VMS platform through their familiar interface. This integration allows for automatic connection of video streams from these cameras. As a result, the video surveillance system setup process is simplified, providing greater flexibility and expanding the possibilities for connecting various camera models.

Receive Analytics events. If an added ONVIF-compatible camera, among other features, has built-in analytics functions, the VMS administrator can configure the system to receive these analytics events for video system users. All events received from cameras will be automatically available to users in their familiar user interfaces under Events > Camera events. The function of receiving analytics events from ONVIF-compatible cameras allows video surveillance system administrators to integrate the built-in analytical capabilities of cameras into the video management system.
Events that are available to receive from ONVIF-compatible cameras:
Motion detect.
Tamper detection. Image too blurry.
Tamper detection. Image too dark.
Tamper detection. Image too bright.
Tamper detection. Global scene change.
Event from external system.
Event to external system.
Configuration changed.
For cameras that aren’t ONVIF-compatible, the fields remain empty.

There are two options how to connect an ONVIF-compatible camera.
Configure the connection parameters on the ONVIF settings tab.
Configure the video streams settings of a camera.
1. Configure the connection parameters on the ONVIF settings tab
On the ONVIF settings tab, perform the following actions:
Specify the following parameters:
A login.
A password.
An ONVIF client IP.
A port of an ONVIF user.
Select Connect.
If the protocol isn’t activated on the camera, the administrator will receive an error message indicating that ONVIF access is unavailable.
If the protocol is activated on the cameras and the camera is connected, the following data will be received from the camera:
A manufacturer
A model
A serial number
A MAC address
An IP address of the camera
The connection status of the ONVIF-compatible camera is changed to Connected.
Once the camera is connected via the ONVIF protocol, the administrator can’t change the streams addresses on the Video Streams tab for this camera.
The addresses for the streams of low and high quality are automatically added.
Once the streams are successfully validated, they automatically receive an ID and UUID.
The Configuration tab will display the configuration details of the camera.
2. Configure the video streams settings of a camera
Navigate to the Video Streams tab.
Here, paste the addresses of the RTPS streams of the low and high quality in the relevant Stream address fields, and save changes.
Once the streams are successfully validated, they automatically receive an ID and UUID.
The type of connection is identified as Manual.
Set up services
Once the ONVIF-compatible camera is connected, the administrator can set up Services:
PTZ. This option is available for cameras equipped with remote pan, tilt, and zoom functionality. Selecting this service enables an additional camera control panel in the View in player tab.
Events retrieval.
To set up the services, navigate to the ONVIF settings tab and enable relevant services:

Setting up services
Before you select events to receive, ensure these events are set up in the web interface of the camera.
The administrator can track the events that are received from the ONVIF-compatible cameras:
In the camera card on the Events tab > the Camera sub-tab.
In the Logging section > Events > the Camera events tab.
