Types of Analytics

The client has access to three categories of Analytics. These categories are organized based on the requirement to utilize specific algorithms for video stream processing, and for executing and identifying particular tasks and business scenarios.

The details about each Analytics group is below in this article. More information about how users can work with Analytics via the Web client is in the Analytics documentation section of the Web user guide.

 

Analytics group. Level 1

Detection of loud sounds

A tool that automatically detects loud sounds via a camera’s built-in microphone. This solution has potential applications in numerous scenarios where it’s crucial to detect the occurrence of loud sounds. It includes a mandatory notification feature that is activated when the loud sound reaches certain predefined levels.

An Analytics event is Detection of loud sounds.

Smoke and fire detection

This is an automated tool designed to locate and detect smoke and open flames within a designated area of the video stream. This solution can be implemented in a variety of scenarios where it’s crucial to detect the presence of smoke or fire. It includes a mandatory notification feature that is activated when the detection reaches certain predefined levels. This system is particularly suitable for monitoring small, confined areas.

An Analytics event is Smoke and fire detection.

Line crossing detection

This is an automated tool designed to locate and detect the fact of crossing a designated line in the video stream. The business scenario is versatile and can be utilized in numerous instances that require continuous surveillance of objects entering or leaving specified zones within premises or territories. It includes a mandatory notification feature that is activated when the predefined line is crossed.

An Analytics event is Line crossing detection.

Camera damage/overlap/vandalism detection

A tool that automatically detects and locates instances of camera damage, overlap, or vandalism. This solution is versatile and can be implemented in numerous scenarios where continuous surveillance of camera operational status is required, with compulsory alerts set at predefined detection limits for such incidents.

An Analytics event is Camera damage/overlap/vandalism detection.

Zone intrusion detection

A tool that automatically detects movement within a designated area of the video stream. The business case can be applied in various scenarios that require tracking the movement of different objects within specific areas of premises or territories. Mandatory notifications are sent when the specified events are triggered.

An Analytics event is Zone intrusion detection.

Analytics group. Level 2

Counting objects in an area

A tool that automatically identifies and precisely counts the number of individuals in a designated area within a video stream. This solution can be utilized in a variety of scenarios that require constant monitoring of the number of people in specific areas of premises or territories, with mandatory notification when the triggered events occur.

An Analytics event is Counting objects (people) in an area.

Visitor counting

A tool that automatically identifies and precisely counts the number of people who have passed through a certain area or passageway within a specified period. This solution can be utilized in a variety of scenarios that require counting overall traffic, analyzing the attendance of an object or location broken down by months, days of the week, hours, and minutes.

An Analytics event is Visitor counting.

Analytics group. Level 3

Face recognition

A tool that automatically detects human faces in a video stream and recognizes a person's identity based on a reference resource (a photo, an image) in the existing database. This business case can be applied in a variety of scenarios that require identification of a visitor or a guest and respond to this event.

Available Analytics events are Face recognized and Face unrecognized.

License plate recognition

A tool that automatically detects a license plate of a vehicle in a video stream and identifies it based on a reference resource (alphanumeric sequence) in the existing database. This business case can be applied in a variety of scenarios that require recognition of license plates of vehicles and, if necessary, respond to this event.

Available Analytics events are Appearance of an unrecognized license plate and Appearance of a recognized license plate.

Container number recognition

A tool that automatically detects and recognizes container numbers in a designated area of a video stream. This business case can be applied in a variety of scenarios that require recognition of container numbers, and, if necessary, react to this event.

An Analytics event is Container number recognition.
