Subusers. Web client user

The Subusers section is available for users with the appropriate access level.

Subusers can’t access this section.

On the Subusers page, you can find the list of subusers.

Add a subuser

To add a subuser, follow these steps:

  1. Select Add.

When a message regarding service payment appears on your screen, you can proceed by selecting Confirm if you agree with the terms. To review the terms and conditions, follow the link provided in the message.

  1. On the opened Create subuser page, complete the following information:

  • A name, an email, a password.

  • Specify access to layouts, camera groups, cameras.

  • Grant permissions under Permissions. For details about each type of permission, expand the permission.

    • Under License:

      • If necessary, specify a number of licenses at each level to be available for the subuser.

      • If necessary, provide access to create analytics business cases.

    • Under Analytic license, manage Business case license statistic.

    • Archive.

    • Screenshots.

    • Cameras.

    • Events.

    • Camera groups.

    • Intercoms.

    • Layouts.

    • Maps.

    • Marks.

    • PTZ.

    • Scripts.

  • Under IP address pool, if necessary, designate a range of available IP addresses that are permitted to access the web interface

Should a subuser try to access the application from an IP address that isn’t part of the designated address pool, they will encounter a message on the login page stating: “Access from this IP address is not available”.

Access to a layout and/or group can only be granted to a subuser if they already have the permission to view the cameras that are part of those layouts and/or groups.

You will receive an error notification in the following cases:

  • When granting access to a layout but didn’t provide access to all cameras of the layout.

  • When granting access to a camera group, didn’t provide access to all cameras of the group.

  • When revoking camera access but keeping access to layouts with this camera.

  • When revoking camera access but keeping access to camera groups with this camera.

Once the analytics licenses are revoked from a subuser, data pertaining to analytics types, reactions, events, and analytics resources will be preserved for a period of seven days, following which it will be eliminated.

  1. To finalize the process and save settings, select the Save button.

Duplicate a subuser

The Duplicate option enables you to create a new subuser by duplicating the existing settings of a selected existing subuser.

A duplicated subuser inherits the settings, except for a login and a password.

To duplicate a subuser, follow the steps:

  1. Log in to your subuser profile.

  2. Select the Duplicate button.

  1. On the opened Create subuser page, complete the fields.

If necessary, edit the permissions for a new subuser.

  1. Select Create user to complete the process.

Change a password

To change a password, follow these steps:

  1. In the subuser’s profile, select Edit password.

  2. In the opened Update password window, enter a new password and confirm it.

  3. Select the Apply password button to save the changes.

The password must contain at least six characters, can include uppercase and lowercase, Latin letters, numbers, and the following special characters: {6-255} [a-z 0-9 !@#$%&*()_+-=[]{};\ ':"|,.<>/?].

Delete a subuser

To delete a subuser, open the list of subusers and select the Delete icon of a relevant subuser.

Confirm the action.

When a subuser is deleted, all information related to the analytics cases they created is also deleted.
