View information about a camera

  • The Cameras list section is available to the administrators with the Devices > Cameras. General permission level.

  • The administrator can only view the camera details without possibility to edit or view camera streams or archives.

On the Cameras list panel, the administrator has access to view the following general information about the cameras:

  • ID – a number of a camera in the system.

  • Serial number – a specified serial number of a camera.

  • MAC address – a specified camera MAC address.

  • Name – a camera name.

  • Version – a current version of the camera software.

  • Created at – a date when a camera was activated in the system.

  • Updated at – a last date when the camera software was updated.

  • Network status – a camera status in the network: Active, Inactive, Partially active.

The following options are available for a more user-friendly experience when viewing information about cameras:

  • Searching of a relevant device in the Search field. The search is carried out on a serial number or a MAC address and must be at least three (3) characters.

  • Sorting of the listed devices by selecting a column name of these columns:

    • ID

    • Name

    • Version

    • Created at

  • Using the Network status filter. For this, from the drop-down list, select a relevant option: Active, Inactive, Partially active.

  • Navigating to the page of the selected camera to view its details. For this, select the line of a relevant camera.

The added cameras

A camera information page

When the administrator navigates to the page with the camera details, they’ll see the details grouped on the following tabs.

The General information tab

Under About the device, the following details are displayed:

  • A camera name.

  • A camera manufacturer.

  • A camera model.

  • A serial number of a camera.

Under Network settings, the following details are displayed:

  • An IP address of the camera.

  • A port.

  • A camera MAC address.

The Logins tab

The Logins tab displays the user who was specified when a camera was activated.

The following information about the user is provided on the page:

  • ID means a user number in the system.

  • A username in the system.

  • Login may contain either an email or a phone number of a user.

  • Created at contains the date when this user was added to the system.

The Video Streams tab

On the Video Streams tab, the administrator can only view the video stream addresses of the camera:

  • An address of a high quality stream.

  • An address of a standard quality stream.

The Access rights tab

On the Access rights tab, the administrator can track the list of sub users who were granted access to this camera.

The following details are displayed for every user:

  • A sub user ID.

  • A sub username.

  • A sub user login.

  • The date when the sub user was granted access.

The Archive tab

On the Archive tab, the administrator can manage the archive recording settings with the following tools:

  • Select the Record archive in the cloud checkbox to enable archive storage to the cloud. When enabled, specify the number of days to store archive.

  • Select the Record archive locally checkbox to enable archiving locally.
