Widgets (Android, iOS)
Users of the mobile application now can enjoy widgets for quick access to intercoms and video surveillance cameras. Widgets are compact UI elements, providing instant access to key app functions without a full app launch. They use minimal screen space to display important information and features, and support light and dark themes.
The widget options include:
Intercom – a widget access one intercom.
Intercoms – a widget access two intercoms.
Cameras – a widget to access up to four cameras that are marked as Favourite.

The mobile app widgets
To use a widget, the user requires the following:
To be authorized in the mobile app on the mobile device.
To be online.
To use an intercom widget – the Intercom access level.
This documentation section provides a detailed overview of the capabilities of widgets for Android and iOS devices. For information on how to set up and use widgets, refer to the relevant subsections:
Android
Add the widget
To add a widget, follow the steps:
Adding widgets to your mobile device can vary based on the specific device model. Generally, widget installation occurs directly on the home screen using one of the following methods:
Long-tap the screen and select the widget from the displayed widget selection window.
Long-tap the application icon.
Through the Widgets function available on your mobile device.
Select a widget type – to access an intercom or cameras with a relevant number of devices.
On the opened Widget settings, perform the actions:
Select a theme for a widget – light or dark.
Add a device to the widget.
Widget creation can only be completed by adding at least one device relevant to the widget – either an intercom or a camera.
If the user has no Intercom permission, they’ll be unable to select an intercom from the list, thus preventing the completion of the intercom widget creation process.
To add an intercom: Select Add intercom and from the list select relevant intercoms.
To add cameras: Select Add cameras. The opened list will display cameras that are marked as Favorite in the app. Select relevant cameras.
To delete an added device from the widget, select the vertical ellipses icon for this device and Delete.
If a camera is removed from the Favorite list in the app, this camera will automatically be removed from the widget.
Save introduced changes with the Save changes button.

Adding a widget
Manage a widget language
The widget language is determined by both the device system language and the app language settings.
When using the widget with multiple languages, ensure consistent language settings across your mobile device and the app. This means that whenever you switch languages within the app, the corresponding language settings should also be applied to your mobile device. Maintaining this synchronization will guarantee that the widget is always displayed in the currently relevant language.
Widget capabilities
The following is a comprehensive guide on how to effectively use the widget.
The intercom widget capabilities
Unlock an intercom door by tapping its lock icon. A notification will appear once the door is unlocked.
Tapping the intercom camera or any empty area will automatically open the app to the Devices > Intercom tab.
Revoked access to an intercom
If a user's intercom access is revoked, the intercom widget will still work, but some features will be limited.
If the user didn't open the app after their access was revoked:
The widget will display previously added intercoms.
The user won’t be able to unlock the intercom door by selecting the lock button – an error message will be displayed.
If the user attempts to replace or add intercoms, the editing window will present an empty list of intercoms.
Tapping an empty area of the widget or an intercom automatically launches the app on the designated tab: either the default or All cameras.
If the user opened the app after their access was revoked:
The intercom widget is displayed on the user's mobile device and doesn’t contain any intercoms.
An informational message is displayed stating that intercoms aren’t available to the current user.
If the user attempts to edit a widget, the list of intercoms is unavailable.
Tapping an empty area of the widget or an intercom automatically launches the app on the designated tab: either the default or All cameras.
The camera widget capabilities
Preview from cameras added to the widget.
Navigation to the camera player by tapping the camera icon.
Navigation to the app on the All cameras tab by tapping an empty area of the widget.

If the user who added the widget to their mobile device logged out the account and logged in the application with a different account on the same device, then the widget:
Doesn’t display devices.
Displays a message “Created by another user”.
Tapping the intercom widget:
Opens the app to the Devices > Intercom tab if the user has the Intercom access level.

Add the widget
The widget dynamically adjusts its visual theme (light or dark mode) to align with the device system-level display preferences.
Adding widgets to your mobile device can vary based on the specific device model. Generally, widget installation occurs directly on the home screen. To add a widget, follow the steps:
Long-tap the screen.
Select the Plus + icon at the top left of the screen.
Select the app in the opened window with widgets.
Select a relevant widget type to access intercoms or cameras, and Add widget. Once added, the widget will be visible on your home screen. You have the flexibility to add a device now or configure it later by editing the widget.
Add a device to the widget based on its type – either for intercoms or cameras. To do this, long-tap the widget. From the opened list, select Edit widget.
In the window that opens, add devices one by one to each cell by tapping Choose.
To add intercoms: from the opened list, select an intercom. The Intercom access level is required to add an intercom to the widget.
To add cameras: the opened list will display cameras that are marked as Favorite in the app. Select relevant cameras.
Removing a device involves replacing it. Tap the current device name in the widget settings and select the new device from the presented options.
Limitations for device addition and removal in the widget (due to iOS functionality):
Device duplication. The iOS platform allows for the multiple addition of the same device to the widget. This can result in duplicate entries appearing within the list of added devices. However, only a single instance of the duplicated device will be displayed on the actual widget. Users can resolve this by replacing the duplicate entries in the configuration list with other devices.
Direct removal of devices from the widget isn’t a supported function due to iOS limitations. To effectively remove a device from the widget's display, users must replace the existing entry with another device from the available list during widget editing.
Impact of the Favorite list. If a camera is removed from the Favorite list within the app, it will automatically cease to be displayed on the widget. However, the camera entry will persist in the widget list of added devices during widget editing. To remove it entirely from the widget's display, users must replace this entry with another device from the available list during the widget editing process.
Saving changes is automatic.
