Devices. Web client user
In the Devices section, you can add and configure bridge devices, as well as add and set bridge cameras.
The added to a bridge cameras will be available to view in all the user interfaces if all necessary permissions are provided.
Add a bridge
A bridge can be added:
Via the Administrator client.
Via the web interface of a user. See the instructions below.
The Devices tab is empty if there are no previously added bridges.
To add a bridge:
Select Add bridge.
On the opened Add bridge panel:
Enter a bridge name.
Select a method to add a bridge:
Via a MAC address.
Via a serial number.
A MAC address and a serial number can be found on the bridge device. A MAC address is represented as a 12-digit sequence of numbers and Latin letters from A to F.
When the fields are completed, select Add to filnalize adding a bridge.
As a result, the bridge is added, and you start receiving information from the device.
The added bridge is listed in the Bridges list. Select a bridge name to expand the device information.
View details of a bridge. Manage cameras
You can view details of a bridge on the following tabs:
Camera connection
Archive
General information
The Camera connection tab
Selecting a camera name navigates you to the Camera connection tab.
On the Camera connection tab, you can:
View the list of the detected cameras connected to the bridge.
View the list of the added cameras that are available for the sub-users to view.
Add a camera manually.
View the camera details.
The Detected cameras list displays the detected cameras related to the bridge. These cameras can be added to become available for the sub-users to view.
The following details are displayed about each camera:
A camera status that is indicated with a color code:
Green is active.
Red is not active.
Yellow is partially active.
Grey is empty.
A camera model.
A camera IP address.
Add a camera manually
You can add a camera manually.
To add a camera, the following conditions must be met:
The bridge and the camera are plugged.
The bridge and the camera are connected to the Internet.
The bridge and the camera are connected to the same network.
The network supports broadcast packet transmission.
The bridge is activated in the system.
To add a camera, select Add a camera manually.
On the opened panel, complete the fields. The Camera name and High quality stream address (HD) fields are mandatory.
Select Save to complete the action.
If any of the specified address is invalid, you’ll see a notification about it.
If the camera's limit is reached, you’ll see a notification about it.
The successfully added cameras are listed in the Added cameras list.
Delete a camera from the Added cameras list
To delete a camera from the Added cameras list, hover over the relevant camera and select the Delete icon.
Next, confirm your action in the opened window.
As a result, the camera is deleted from the added cameras and isn’t available anymore for the users to view.
If the camera was previously moved from the Detected cameras list to the Added cameras list, it will reappear again in the Detected cameras list after being deleted.
View details of the added camera
To view the details of the added camera, select its name. In the opened panel, the details will be presented on the tabs.
General information
On the General information tab, you can view the following camera details.
In the About device section:
A camera name
A manufacturer
A model
A serial number
In the Network settings section:
An IP address
A port
A MAC address
The tab features the camera view.
Streams
On the Streams tab, you can find the address of the streams.
High quality steam (HD)
Standard quality stream(SD)
You can edit addresses. To edit an address, select the Edit streams button, introduce changes, and Save the changes.
When you change a stream address, the user keeps access to the previously generated archive (if Recording to the cloud was enabled in Archive).
Access permissions
The Access permissions tab lists all the sub-users of the current user who are grated access to the bridge cameras.
The tab is available to the current user if they have access to the Users section and have the access level to view and manage sub-users.
The following options are available on the tab:
Add a user. Selecting the button navigates you to the Settings section to add a new sub-user. This user gets the automatically granted permission for this bridge camera and that is reflected i the Cameras access permissions.
Edit list. Selecting this button redirects you to the Users list in the Settings section, where the sub-users are listed.
The Archive tab
In the Archive tab, you can view and edit the archive recording settings for each added camera.
In the Local storage section, you can find the list of local storage connected to the bridge. Each local storage is displayed with the following information:
A name
Used space
Available space
The storage capacity
In the Set up archive section, you set up the method to store the archive for each added camera: locally and/or to the cloud. You should configure the storage time in each case individually.
By default, the archive storage is off.
To configure the Recording to the cloud settings, select the Settings icon of the relevant camera. In the opened panel, set the toggle On and specify the number of days to store the archive. The minimum number is 1 (one).
Select Save to save the settings.
To configure the Recording locally settings, select the Settings icon of the relevant camera. In the opened panel:
Set the Status to On.
Select the local device if there are several devices connected to the bridge.
Specify the number of days to store the archive. The minimum number is 1 (one).
Select Save to save the settings.
The General information tab
In the General information tab, you can track the general details of the current bridge.
In the About device section, the following details are presented:
A bridge name.
MAC address.
A serial number.
In the Updates section, the following details are presented:
A current software version uploaded to the bridge.
A date of the last software update.
