Event logs

The Events section is designed for viewing event logs:

  • User events. These include:

    • Labels manually added by users while viewing camera archives

  • System events. These include:

    • Changes in low/high-quality stream activity.

    • Billing events.

    • Auto-provisioning events.

    • Changes in camera status.

  • Camera events. These include:

    • SMPT motion detection events.

  • Analytics events that occurred within a previously added analytics case in the user interface.

The Events section

Filter

Filters are provided for quick event searching.

To display the filter panel, click the Filters button.

Filters allow you to filter events by:

  • Event type:

    • A custom event.

    • A missed call from an intercom.

    • External events.

    • SMTP motion detection.

  • Specified cameras.

  • Selected period (you can specify either a start date or an end date).

Event types displayed depend on the user's access rights.

Event types:

  • High-quality stream is active

  • High-quality stream is inactive

  • Low-quality stream is active

  • Low-quality stream is inactive

  • SMTP motion detection

  • Stream is active

  • Stream is inactive

The search is performed automatically after selecting at least one filter.

You can customize the event list view (displaying 25/50/100 rows per page).

Pagination is available, as well as quick navigation to the beginning or end of the list.

Event dashboard

The event dashboard provides summarized information on events over a specific period.

Under Total events, you can view the total number of events:

  • Total new events for the current day.

  • Total new events for the current week.

  • Total new events for the current month.

Under New events, you can view the total number of events of each type with the option to select a viewing period:

  • Total user events for the period.

  • Total system events for the period.

  • Total camera events for the period.

Under Analytics events, you can view the total number of analytics events for each analytics type with the option to select a viewing period.

You can navigate from the dashboard to event pages, and clicking on an event will take you to the corresponding event tab.

Event calendar

The event calendar provides summarized event information in different views:

  • For the month

  • For the day

To view the calendar, click the Calendar of events button. Each cell on the calendar displays the presence of events for a specific date. Depending on the type of analytics, events are color-coded.

If needed, you can use < and > buttons to select the previous or next month.

You can also click on the month selection button and choose a month using the < and > buttons.

Clicking Today returns you to viewing the calendar for the current month, with the current day highlighted.

To view detailed event information for a specific day, click the relevant cell on the calendar. This displays a detailed description of events for the selected day, including the option to view previews or navigate to the player for playback.
