The list of cameras

To call out the context menu of a camera, right-click the name of the relevant camera. The context menu contains the following options:

  • Open – open the camera in the selected part of the current layout.

  • Complain about the camera – send a notification on the camera’s issues to the support team.

  • Rename – rename the camera.

  • Add camera to group.

  • Delete camera from group – is available only for the camera that is added to a group.

Complain about the camera

To report a camera’s issue, follow the steps:

  • Select a camera and right-click its name to call out its context menu.

  • In the menu, select Complain about the camera.

  • Specify the issue: 

    • Foreign objects in the lens

    • No sound

    • Interruptions in work

    • Swing mechanism defective

Only one issue can be reported at a time.

Next, select Apply to complete the action.

Add a camera to a group

You can only add a camera to a custom group.

Adding a camera to a group is done by copying the camera:

  • From the All cameras catalog.

  • From catalogs with cameras distributed by address.

  • From other groups.

Open the directory or group from which you want to copy the camera. Hover over the desired camera. Click the right mouse button to open the context menu. Select the Add camera to group menu item.

As a result, a form for selecting the group into which the camera will be copied will be displayed.

Adding a camera to a group

Select a group and Add.

You can also copy the camera to the desired group by dragging and dropping. To do this, open the directory or other group from which you want to copy the camera. Hover over the desired camera. Click and hold the left mouse button. Move the cursor over the name of the group to which you want to copy the camera and release the mouse button.

Delete a camera from a group

You can only remove a camera from a user group. After deletion, the camera will remain in the All cameras directory and in directories with cameras distributed by address.

To remove a camera from a group, open the group and hover over the relevant camera. Right-click to open the context menu. Select the menu item Delete camera from group and confirm the removal.

The list of groups

Groups are used to arrange cameras based on certain characteristics: by location, quality, etc. Users arrange groups at their own decision.

To call out the context menu of a group, right-click the group name.

The menu contains the following options:

  • Rename group.

  • Clear group – delete all cameras from the group. This option as available only in the groups where at least one camera is added.

  • Delete group.

The search is performed by camera name and group name. As you enter a name, only the corresponding cameras and/or groups are displayed in the list.

Add a group

To add a new group, select the Add group icon.

As a result, the form for adding a new group will be displayed.

Enter a name for the group. The group name must be unique.

Adding a camera group

Next, if necessary, select cameras from the list that will be included in the current group. You can skip this step and add cameras later.

After filling out the fields, select Create group.

Open in layout

The Open in layout option allows for opening the cameras of a group in a new layout to view simultaneously. It is possible to view up to six cameras.

To pen cameras in layout:

  1. Right-click the camera group name to call out the context menu.

  2. Select the Open in layout option.

  3. In the opened form, select the cameras and confirm the action.

The maximum number of cameras that are available to vie depend on the mode. In Live mode, you can select up to 49 cameras. In Archive, the number depends on the settings. When the Show all archive layout templates settings is selected, the maximum number of cameras is 16, when the setting isn’t selected – up to 6.

After confirmation, a new layout is created bearing the same name as the group.

Rename a camera group

You can only rename a user’s group.

To rename a group, hover over the relevant group. Click the right mouse button to open the context menu. Select the Rename group menu item.

As a result, a form for entering a new group name will be displayed.

Enter a new name and click Rename.

Delete a group

You can only delete a user’s group.

To delete a group, hover over the desired group. Click the right mouse button to open the context menu. Select the Delete group menu item and confirm the deletion.

As a result, the group with all added cameras will be deleted, while all cameras will remain in the All cameras directory and in directories with cameras distributed by address.
