Platform tree

The new Platform tree serves as the central hub for managing the core services across your properties. Whether a site includes video surveillance cameras, intercom devices, or the BLE-based keyless access systems, everything is managed within a single location profile. This saves time and provides a complete overview of the property at a glance.

Platform tree introduces a hierarchical view of addresses (locations) and the equipment installed at each final location, including cameras and devices within access points.

The display of tree branches and equipment depends on the permissions assigned to the current administrator.

The Platform tree supports multiple levels of nesting: city, street, building, entrance, and other location levels. Only the final location in the tree hierarchy includes associated devices included into the relevant sections. All tools for managing a specific site are organized within the location structure:

  • The Video surveillance section is displayed when at least one camera is added to this location. The counter indicates the number of cameras for this location. Select Video surveillance to open the list of cameras that are assigned to the location. From here, administrator can manage these cameras.   • In the Access control section, administrators find a centralized workspace for managing both pedestrian entrances and vehicle gates on the premises. At the foundation of Access control is the Access point – a unified logical instance designed to configure any entrance or driveway. The Access control section is displayed when at least one Access point is added to this location. The counter indicates the number of Access points for this location. Select Access control to open the list of access points assigned to the location. From here, you can manage these access points and associated devices. Platform tree functionality

The Platform tree can be created in two ways: manually (by an administrator) or automatically (by the system). The functionality available for the tree's branches and elements depends on how they were created, their status, and their content.

Platform tree created manually by an administrator

The set of actions available for a tree branch changes depending on whether it contains nested elements: branches, cameras, and access points.

If the branch doesn’t contain any nested branches, the following actions are available for it:

  • Add a camera

  • Create an access point

  • Add a branch

  • Rename a branch

  • Delete a branch

If the branch contains other branches, the following actions are available for it:

  • Add a branch

  • Rename a branch

If the branch contains at least one camera or access point, it is considered a final element. The following actions are available for such a branch:

  • Add a camera

  • Create an access point

  • Rename a branch

Add a branch

To add a root branch, select the icon image-20260611-083146.png next to the Platform tree header. This opens a form to enter the main branch name. Enter the name and select Add.

To add a sub-branch (second level or below), hover over the target branch name in the tree, select the icon to open the context menu, and select Add branch.

If cameras or access points are already added to a branch, adding a lower-level branch isn’t possible.

Rename a branch

Hover over the branch name in the tree, select the icon image-20260611-083542.png to open the context menu, and select Rename branch. Enter the new branch name and select Update.

Delete a branch

You can delete a branch if it contains no cameras or access points. Hover over the branch name in the tree, select the icon to open the context menu, and select Delete branch. To confirm the deletion, select Delete.

Platform tree generated automatically

A Platform tree generated automatically is organized according to the address system of a customer, an external system in this context. In this case, a branch in a tree is automatically created when corresponding methods are received from the Billing system of a customer.

The auto-generated tree displays branches only if they contain cameras or access points. If a branch contains at least one camera or access point, you can perform the following actions: add a camera and create an access point.

Cameras can only be added to final branch elements (locations).

You can add cameras in the following ways:

  • Hover over the branch name in the tree, select the icon to open the context menu, and Add camera.

  • If the branch already contains previously added cameras, expand the branch, hover over Video surveillance, and select the + icon.

  • For the auto-generated tree only. If a branch is not displayed in the auto-generated tree, select the icon next to the Platform tree header and select Add camera. The address is selected when filling out the new camera card.

  • You can also add a camera while viewing the camera list for a selected location.

This redirects you to the camera card to enter its parameters. The camera addition process is described in the Add and edit cameras documentation section.

Add an access point

An access point can only be added to final branch elements (locations).

You can create an access point in the following ways:

  • Hover over the branch name in the tree, select the icon to open the context menu, and select Create access point.

  • If the branch already contains previously added access points, expand the branch, hover over Access control, and select the + icon (Create access point).

  • If a branch is not displayed for the auto-generated tree, select the + icon next to the Platform tree header and select Create access point. The address is selected when filling out the new access point card.

  • You can also create an access point while viewing the access point list for a selected location.

Search and filter

To search for cameras or access points, enter at least three characters in the Search field. The search is performed automatically as you enter characters. Consequently, only the locations that match your search will be visible in the tree.

You can narrow down the search with the filters:

  • All: searches across all data types.

  • Cameras: searches only for cameras.

  • Access points: searches only for access points.

The search is performed by the following parameters:

  • For cameras:

    • Camera name

    • Stream UUID

    • Camera IP address

    • User login (use only the numeric part of the login before the "@" symbol, for example, user12345 in user12345@mail.com)

    • Camera address

    • Camera ID

  • For access points: Access point name

The following conditions apply:

  • Minimum character count is 3 characters.

  • Stream UUID search requires the full UUID value.

  • Camera IP address search requires at least three octets of the IP address.

When a camera search succeeds, the platform tree displays:

  • Branches containing cameras or access points that match the search criteria.

  • Branches whose names match the search criteria.

  • Branches containing logins that match the search criteria (User login – use only the numeric part of the login before the "@" symbol, for example, user12345 in user12345@mail.com)
