When a new firmware version is detected, a notification appears showing the Camera firmware update along with its version number. Update can be performed only for a camera with the Online status.

When multiple firmware options exist, a dropdown menu allows you to choose the relevant version. To prevent redundancy, the active firmware is hidden from the list.

To update a firmware:

  • Select Update. This starts the update process. A notification appears that the update is in progress.

Monitoring the update process:

The firmware update progress is displayed in the status bar which indicates that the update is currently underway.

If an error occurs: the update will stop automatically, and the system will roll back to the previous firmware version, and an update failure message is displayed.

Upon a successful completion: once the firmware is successfully updated, a success notification appears. The updated values will appear in the Current version and Updated at fields.

The Logins tab

The Logins tab displays the user who was specified when a camera was activated.

The following information about the user is provided on the page:

  • ID means a user number in the system.

  • A username in the system.

  • Login may contain either an email or a phone number of a user.

  • Created at contains the date when this user was added to the system.

Once the administrator publishes a new firmware version, the user can update the Camera (Agent) device independently from their web interface.

For more information on how the admin can upload a new firmware version, see the Installation files documentation page.

The Video Streams tab

On the Video Streams tab, the administrator can only view the video stream addresses of the camera:

  • An address of a high quality stream.

  • An address of a standard quality stream.

  • A sub user login.

  • The date when the sub user was granted access.

The Archive tab

On the Archive tab of the camera management profile, administrators can configure recording settings separately for streams of different resolutions – HD and SD – for Camera (Agent) devices. Administrators can access this setting based on the following required permissions from the Devices permission group:

  • Camera agent. General

  • Camera agent. Setting up archive recording HD

  • Camera agent. Setting up archive recording SD

Administrators can grant users permission to manage cloud archive storage so they can handle this themselves. For this, the admins must assign the permission for the user Devices > Camera agent. Archive.

On the Archive tab, the administrator configures archive recording settings for individual HD and SD streams to cloud or local storage.

Cloud archive recording can be enabled for the HD stream, the SD stream, or both streams at the same time.

When cloud archive recording is enabled for either stream, the Archive retention period field becomes available. Use this field to specify how many days to store the archive in cloud storage.

The Services tab

The Services tab allows administrators to monitor the native functionality and operational status of Camera (Agent) devices in read-only mode. It displays the following status information:

    • PTZ: the status of the device positioning and movement controls, showing whether they are enabled or disabled.

    • Events retrieval: information regarding the activation, configuration, and processing of events by the camera built-in analytics, showing whether the feature is enabled or disabled along with the specific types of events currently enabled.
