Added BLE devices

The Added BLE devices section of the Administrator panel contains a list of all BLE devices currently added to the platform. This section provides an overview of these devices along with the following information for each:

  • Name (sortable): custom name of the BLE device.

  • Vendor: official manufacturer name.

  • Model: model name or code specified by the manufacturer.

  • Model ID (sortable): product type identifier associated with its series (product code, controller model, etc.).

  • Device ID (sortable): unique serial number or UUID of the specific hardware instance.

  • Users count (sortable): number of users associated with the BLE device via digital keys.

  • Access point (sortable): name of the access point linked to the BLE device. Selecting it opens the access point details. If no link exists, a dash "-" is displayed.

  • Access point location (sortable): name of the current location of the access point linked to the BLE device. Selecting it opens the list of access points for that location. If no link exists, a dash "-" appears.

  • Created at (sortable): device registration timestamp in the system. The format is DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM:SS.

Each row ends with the vertical ellipsis icon to open the context menu for managing the specific BLE device. You can select a management option:

  • Rename

  • Delete

Selecting a row opens the BLE device details.

Add a new device

You can add a new device to the platform only if you have an available license with the matching licensing parameter.

To add a new device, select Add device.

Complete the opened setup form for a BLE device:

  • Device name: enter a custom device name.

  • Vendor: select the vendor from the available list.

  • Model: select the device model from the available list, which updates based on the selected vendor.

  • SID: device ID, which is a unique identifier of a specific device instance, often acting as a security key (Secure ID), found on the device label or in the initial setup software (examples: serial number, Device UUID, Lock ID [SID] for Openy)

  • PID: model ID, which is a product type identifier associated with the device model or series used for classification, found in the technical specification, article, or full product name (examples: controller model, Product Code, Lock Name [PID] for Openy).

  • Master: enter the security key manually. Supplied with the BLE device.

  • Location (setting): binds the BLE device to an access point. Disabled by default. Enabling it displays additional fields:

    • Location (text field): select the location to add the BLE device.

    • Access point (text field): select the access point to link the BLE device.

Once you enter all parameters, select Add.

Once added, the system registers the BLE device, links it to the selected access point, and marks one license for a BLE controller as used. A notification appears stating that the BLE device is added successfully, and the system redirects you to the BLE device card.

You can also add a new BLE device and link it directly to an access point:

Platform tree > Location with access points > Access control > Access point details > Devices tab

Search and filter

Typing a value in the Search field filters by:

  • BLE device name

  • Model ID

  • Device ID

  • Access point name

  • Access point location

The list supports filtering by:

  • Vendor

  • Model

  • Device creation time range

Rename a BLE device

To rename a BLE device, select the vertical ellipsis icon in the BLE device row and choose Rename. In the open form, enter a new BLE device name and select Save.

The rename function is also available in the BLE device card.

Renaming a BLE device creates a Renaming BLE device event that can be tracked in Devices > BLE devices > Added > BLE device card > User actions tab.

Delete a BLE device

To delete a BLE device, select the vertical ellipsis icon in the BLE device row and choose Delete. In the open form, confirm the action.

Deleting a BLE device:

  • Deletes all permanent and temporary keys added to the BLE device.

  • Releases licenses with the BLE device and BLE keys licensing parameters.

  • Creates a BLE device deleted event in Devices > BLE devices > Added > BLE device card > User actions tab.

The delete function is also available in the BLE device card.
