Automatic camera addition and manual video stream setup

Algorithm for automatic camera addition and manual stream setup:

• Creating a location using the create_location method:

  • In the administrator interface, a new location (address) is created in the camera tree according to the CSA (see «Creating a new location» for more details)

• Creating a camera entity using the new_camera method (see «Creating a camera entity» for more details)

• Attaching a camera profile using the attach_camera method (see «Creating a camera profile» for more details)

• Obtaining the camera's IP address through DHCP server using the reservation method and reserving the IP address (see «Obtaining an IP Address by the camera» for more details)

• Manually adding RTSP links for video streams on the «Video Streams» tab (see «Manual stream setup and configuration application» and «Video Streams» for more details)

It is necessary to manually retrieve the RTSP links for video streams.

Stages:

• Automatic creation of camera entity, Source: auto

• Obtaining the IP address from the DHCP server and reserving the IP and MAC addresses

• Manual stream setup, Source: manual

• Applying camera configurations manually

After the camera is automatically added, a new tab called «Provisioning» becomes available for the user when viewing the camera. The type of stream setup, whether automatic or manual, does not affect the appearance of the «Provisioning» tab.
