View cases
Use the Analytics section > Analytics cases tab to overview all exisitng Analytics cases.
This tab also enables you to view and edit individual cases. Selecting a case row navigates you to the page that displays all detected events and provides tools to manage the case.
Browse events in either list view (default) or tile view by switching modes.
Cases for the following Analytics types can only be created and edited in the Web app. Once created in the Web app, they are automatically synchronized with the Desktop app: the cases appear in the lists, and their detected events are displayed in the Events section along with other Analytics events. However, users can't view case details or edit these cases from within the Desktop app.

Smoke and fire detection

Event image: this is a still image captured by the camera at the moment the event was detected. Users may engage with the image to utilize the zoom-in and zoom-out capability for detailed analysis.

Event name: reflects the predefined event name Smoke and fire detection.

Name of detection area: reflects the name of the virtual detection area in which the event was occurred.

Camera: indicates the camera through which the event was captured.
-
Created: indicates the date and time when the event was detected.
Detection of loud sound

Event image: this is a still image captured by the camera at the moment the event was detected. Users may engage with the image to utilize the zoom-in and zoom-out capability for detailed analysis.

Event name: reflects the predefined event name Detection of loud sounds.

Category: Speech, Music, Nature, Traffic, Ambient.

Camera: indicates the camera through which the event was captured.

Created: indicates the date and time when the event was detected.
Counting people in an area

Event image: this is a still image captured by the camera at the moment the event was detected. Users may engage with the image to utilize the zoom-in and zoom-out capability for detailed analysis.

Event name: reflects the predefined event name Counting people in an area.

Name of detection area: reflects the name of the virtual detection area in which the event was detected.

Camera damage/ overlap/ vandalism detection

Event image: this is a still image captured by the camera at the moment the event was detected. Users may engage with the image to utilize the zoom-in and zoom-out capability for detailed analysis.

Camera: indicates the camera through which the event was captured.

Zone intrusion detection

Event name: reflects the predefined event name Zone intrusion detection.

Category: Person, Vehicle, Animals, Unknown.

Line crossing detection

Event image: this is a still image captured by the camera at the moment the event was detected. Users may engage with the image to utilize the zoom-in and zoom-out capability for detailed analysis.

Event name: reflects the predefined event name Line crossing detection.

Category: Person, Vehicle, Animals, Unknown.

Intersection line: indicates the name of a virtual line whose crossing resulted in the event detection.
-
Camera: indicates the camera through which the event was captured.
-
Created: indicates the date and time when the event was detected.
Selecting an event row launches the player with the archive at the event time. If no archive is available, or cannot be accessed, a relevant notification is provided.
Filter cases
You can apply the following filters to cases of any Analytics type:

Camera. Narrows results to events from selected cameras.
-
Period. Narrows results to events within the specified timeframe.
The Event category filter is available to cases of the following Analytics types:

Zone intrusion detection
-
Line crossing detection
-
Detection of loud sounds
Generate and download a report on a case
To generate and download a report on a selected case, follow the steps:

Select the Generate a report button at the top right.

Complete the opened form by specifying the time range and relevant cameras.

Select Submit, to finalize the action. To cancel the action, select Cancel.
After initiating report generation, a corresponding message will be displayed.
When the report is ready, a notification will appear with a link to download it. Select Download, and the report will be saved to your device as an Excel file.
Once the file is downloaded, a notification will appear with a link to navigate to the downloaded file on your device. For this, select Show in folder.

Analytics case status
Selecting the Stream settings button opens the Analytics case status which provides additional information about the current case, its cameras, Analytics stream, and feature management options.
For each camera, the following information is provided:

Camera status.
-
Analytics stream status. If the Analytics case stream is Active, the Pause button becomes available to pause the stream.

UUID of the analytics case stream.
At the bottom left, the status of the Analytics case is displayed. If the case is Active, you can pause it. Pausing the case will also suspend all active Analytics streams for every camera.
Report a stream issue
You can report issues with individual Analytics streams or with all streams to the support team.
To report an issue with an individual stream:

Select a camera.

Select Complain on steam of the relevant stream.

On the opened form, select the issue to report:

Analytics events do not arrive. Analytics stream is inactive
-
Analytics events do not arrive. Analytics stream is active
-
Next, select Complain.
As a result, a detailed issue report will be forwarded to the support team.
Report an issue with all available streams:

On the panel, select Complain on all streams.
-
On the opened form, select the issue:
-
Analytics events do not arrive. Analytics stream is inactive

Analytics events do not arrive. Analytics stream is active

Next, select Complain.
As a result, a detailed issue report will be forwarded to the support team.
Edit a case
You can edit a case from within the page that details the selected case.
To edit a case:

Select the Settings button at the top right.
-
Select a relevant step to introduce changes.
You can edit all settings except the analytics type specified in step #1.

Once ready, select Save.
Delete a camera from a case
When removing a camera from the case with associated events while editing a case, you need to choose the deletion method and select how the events should be handled:

Delete camera and its events. With this option, you delete a camera from the case and all events detected via this camera.

Delete with saving events. This option deletes the camera from the case without removing its associated events. All previously recorded events remain available in the Analytics case, including navigation to their corresponding archive timestamps. These events will remain part of all generated reports.
Delete a case
To delete a case, select the Delete icon for the case you want to remove. In the confirmation dialog that opens, confirm the action. To cancel the action, select Cancel.
Once the case is deleted:

All detected events associated with the case will also be removed and will no longer appear in the Events section.

In the user’s web interface, all reactions linked to this case will be deleted and will no longer be visible under Analytics > Events and reactions.
Case deletion error
The case deletion won’t be completed if one of the case cameras fails to be removed because of an error. This will result in:

The case being marked in the list with an error icon indicating a camera deletion failure.
-
The icon remaining visible until the case is refreshed.
You can retry deleting the case later.
