The Analytics cases tab is the primary element of the Analytics interface, providing the ability to create new analytics cases, monitor their status, and view statistics.
Cases for the following Analytics types can only be created and edited in the Web app. Once created in the Web app, they are automatically synchronized with the Desktop app: the cases appear in the lists, and their detected events are displayed in the Events section along with other Analytics events. However, users cannot view case details or edit these cases from within the Desktop app.

Add an Analytics case
To add an Analytics case, select Add. This will take you to the page where you add a new case. The process may vary depending on the type of Analytics. For details, refer to the Create a case documentation page.
Quick creation of new Analytics cases is available through the following options:
-
From the All Cameras section, using the context menu of a selected camera.
-
From the camera layout view, for a single camera or for all cameras in the layout.
For details on quick creation of Analytics cases, refer to the Optional ways to create a case documentation page.
Delete an Analytics case
To delete a case, select the Delete icon for the case you want to remove. In the confirmation dialog that opens, confirm the action. To cancel the action, select Cancel.
Once the case is deleted:
-
All detected events associated with the case will also be removed and will no longer appear in the Events section.
-
In the user’s web interface, all reactions linked to this case will be deleted and will no longer be visible under Analytics > Events and reactions.
Case deletion error
The case deletion won’t be completed if one of the case cameras fails to be removed because of an error. This will result in:
-
The case being marked in the list with an error icon indicating a camera deletion failure.
-
The icon remaining visible until the case is refreshed.
You can retry deleting the case later.
