Enabling extended services: PTZ and built-in events
For video surveillance users, the platform supports extended support for the powerful services built right into the Camera (Agent).
The video surveillance web interface supports extended services built into the Camera (Agent). In Devices > Cameras, on the Services tab of the selected camera, users can enable and manage additional camera-integrated features:
-
Interactive PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) control: full support for camera lens position control. Users can remotely pan, tilt, and zoom the image in real time, allowing them to quickly adjust the monitoring area without additional software.
-
Receive built-in analytics events: motion detection, configuration changes, and image quality changes, such as excessive darkness. Agent supports events generated directly by the camera. Users only need to select the events they want to receive in the settings.
For detailed information about configuring ONVIF services on the Camera (Agent), see the web user documentation Camera (Agent).
The list of ONVIF services displayed in the video surveillance system web interface depends on the camera model, firmware version, and supported hardware capabilities.
The Services tab displays only the functions supported by the camera and enabled in the camera’s native web interface. If a required option is unavailable, verify that it is enabled in the camera settings. For information about how to access the camera native web interface and enable features, see the device manufacturer’s documentation.
