The user configures the video recording method for each Bridge camera through the video surveillance web user interface. The following options are available:
-
Video surveillance system cloud storage: a remote centralized service for storing video recordings, accessing them, and managing settings over the Internet. With this option, the user can configure individual archive retention settings in the Devices > Archive > Selected camera section. For more information about configuring video archive recording, see the Bridges documentation section for the user.
-
Local storage and backup: this mode provides backup video recording to an SD card with a capacity of up to 64 GB installed in the Bridge. The Bridge records video to the SD card only when the Internet connection is unavailable. After the connection is restored, the Bridge automatically synchronizes the local archive with the cloud platform. This ensures continuous recording and prevents video loss during temporary connection failures.
The administrator can configure recording settings for camera streams connected through Bridge. If the administrator disables recording for a stream or restricts the ability to change the setting, the user cannot modify these settings in the user interface. On the Archive tab of the device management profile, each camera has the Edit archive recording settings icon. The administrator can configure recording parameters separately for streams with different resolutions (HD/SD). For more information, see the Bridge > Archive section documentation section for administrators.
If the administrator disables recording for the corresponding stream or restricts the ability to change this setting, the user cannot modify the recording settings in the user interface.
