The Bridge is designed to provide flexible and reliable connectivity with a wide range of IP surveillance cameras, ensuring compatibility with equipment from different manufacturers. Support for multiple protocols allows integration of both basic and advanced camera models.
The Bridge supports devices in the following main categories:
Generic IP camera (RTSP): this category includes IP cameras that transmit video streams using the RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol). RTSP provides a basic method for streaming video and audio.
Generic ONVIF device: this category includes IP cameras that support the ONVIF standard. ONVIF provides a unified communication protocol between IP cameras and video surveillance systems.
ONVIF integration provides access to advanced camera management features:

PTZ control: remote pan, tilt, and zoom control.

Receive built-in analytics events: motion detection; configuration changes; image quality changes, such as excessive darkening.
