Licensing model

The Access point functionality is available under a license that includes a parameter corresponding to the Type of the access point. This license is independent and does not depend on other platform licenses.

Usage rules

To create an Access point instance, a license that corresponds to its type is required. If no license of the required type is available, the platform blocks creation of a new access point regardless of the administrator's access level.
The license limits the maximum number of access points allowed for each type.
Creating one Access point instance consumes 1 license. When an access point is deleted, the license is released and becomes available for reuse.

The table below lists the license types required to use the Access point instance on the platform.
