At the foundation of Access control is the Access point – it is a logical instance on the platform that connects a physical access zone on-site with the equipment responsible for controlling entry or exit through that zone. A single location may feature multiple access points, such as those designated for entry, exit, vehicle entrance, or vehicle exit. Access points are categorized into the following types: Entrance, Drive-in, Universal, and Defined (Fixed). This type determines the quantity and combination of connected devices, such as intercoms, BLE readers, and actuators.

The platform administrator manages Access points in the Administrator cabinet under Platform tree > Final location > Access control. The administrator creates an Access point and assigns one of the following types: Entrance, Drive-in, Defined (Fixed), or Universal. Based on the selected type, the platform indicates which devices and how many devices can be connected and combines them into a single access control system. Once devices are assigned to an access point, they operate as a unified system, while all management and configuration remain within the Access point.
