Universal zone

The platform administrator manages Access points in the Administrator cabinet under Platform tree > Final location > Access control. The administrator creates an Access point and assigns one of the following types: Entrance, Drive-in, Defined (Fixed), or Universal. Based on the selected type, the platform indicates which devices and how many devices can be connected and combines them into a single access control system. Once devices are assigned to an access point, they operate as a unified system, while all management and configuration remain within the Access point. A single location can include any number of access points of different types.

Universal zone is the most flexible access point type, designed for complex access control scenarios. It has no limit on the number of connected devices. Devices connected to a Universal access point operate synchronously to provide access – all doors, barriers, and pedestrian gates open simultaneously.

This type supports any number and combination of the following devices:

• Intercom

• BLE device

• Actuator

Where to use:

• Complex entrances that include doors, pedestrian gates, and turnstiles

• Main vehicle entrances with gates and barriers controlled simultaneously

• Properties where access requires multiple actuators to operate synchronously

Universal zone use case

A property requires access through a main entrance that includes a pedestrian gate or door and vehicle gates or a barrier. To support this scenario, the administrator creates a Universal access point named “Main entrance” and combines an intercom, BLE device, and actuators that control the pedestrian gate, vehicle gates, and barrier.

• For the administrator: all devices are combined within a single “Main entrance” access point. The Universal zone provides centralized user access control, access scenario configuration, and event monitoring. Additional devices can be added to the zone as needed without a limit on the number of devices, creating a unified access scenario. • For the user: access depends on the device in use and the access rights assigned by the administrator. Employees access the property through the mobile app using Bluetooth (BLE). Visitors contact an employee through the intercom to request access. Vehicles with the appropriate access rights automatically receive access to the property. When access is granted, the system performs all required actions simultaneously – opening doors, pedestrian gates, vehicle gates, barriers, and other connected actuators included in the Universal zone.
