The platform administrator manages Access points in the Administrator cabinet under Platform tree > Final location > Access control. The administrator creates an Access point and assigns one of the following types: Entrance, Drive-in, Defined (Fixed), or Universal. Based on the selected type, the platform indicates which devices and how many devices can be connected and combines them into a single access control system. Once devices are assigned to an access point, they operate as a unified system, while all management and configuration remain within the Access point. A single location can include any number of access points of different types.
For detailed instructions on creating and managing an access point, see the following administrator documentation: Administrator guide. Access point and Access control.
Defined (Fixed) zone is an access point type that allows a total of two devices of different types. This zone type supports combined access scenarios for both pedestrians and vehicles using different devices. Each connected device must belong to a separate type, such as a combination of 1 Intercom and 1 Actuator.
Allowed devices:
-
Intercom
-
BLE device
-
Actuator device
Limitations:
-
Any two device types from the list can be connected.
-
The total number of connected devices cannot exceed two.
For detailed information about supported devices, see the Supported devices. Access point section of the documentation.
Where to use:
-
Combined pedestrian and vehicle access points
-
Custom access scenarios for private properties
-
Properties where multiple identification or access control methods need to operate within a single access point
Defined (Fixed) zone use case
A private residential complex requires unified access control for both pedestrians and vehicles. To support this scenario, the administrator creates a Defined (Fixed) access point named “Main entrance and vehicle access.” The access point combines an intercom for controlling access through a door or pedestrian gate and an actuator for controlling an automatic gate or vehicle barrier.
-
For the administrator: the access point brings together all related data and settings, including connected device management, event monitoring, and user access control. All this information is managed within the “Main entrance and vehicle access” access point. This provides centralized management of the combined access point regardless of the connected device types. For instructions on creating and managing an access point, see the Administrator guide. Access point and Access control documentation.
-
For the user: access depends on the device in use and the access rights assigned by the administrator. At a door, the user can open it through the intercom or with a smartphone. At a vehicle gate, the system verifies access rights and sends a command to the actuator to open the gate. Regardless of the device in use, all access actions are performed within a single access point. For more information about how users interact with access points and their connected devices, see the User guide. Access point documentation.
