Add an intercom to the platform, link it to an access point and camera, and manage it

The administrator can add and manage intercoms on the platform through the following interface paths:

• Platform tree > Access control > Access point → Devices

• Devices > Intercom > Added

Platform tree > Access point

Add an intercom to the platform. The administrator can add an intercom directly to an access point for a location through the Platform tree. This method is convenient because it allows the administrator to quickly complete all required actions for the device in the context of a specific access point without switching between platform sections.

Configure an intercom. After adding the device, the administrator can proceed directly to detailed intercom configuration, including granting users access. To do this, open the device card from the access point. For detailed instructions on configuring an intercom, see the View and edit an intercom documentation page.

Devices > Intercoms > Added

The Intercoms > Added interface section is designed to manage all intercoms on the platform. Here, the administrator can view the complete list of intercoms, including added and deleted devices, monitor their status and key parameters, and manage their associations with access points and users. The section also tracks changes related to adding and deleting devices, while search and filters help the administrator quickly find the required intercom.

When adding a new intercom, the administrator can choose whether to link it to an access point immediately or add it without association with an access point.

• Without linking to an access point. The administrator can add a new intercom to the platform without linking it to an access point. This allows the administrator to first register the device in the system and then link it to the required access point at a later stage, for example, directly from the access point settings in the Platform tree. This approach is useful when the administrator first adds and verifies devices on the platform and assigns them to access points later. Users cannot access the premises through the intercom until the administrator links it to an access point.

• Link to an access point. The administrator immediately links the intercom to the required access point. After adding the device, the administrator can provide users with access through the corresponding settings.

In the Devices section, the administrator can perform the following actions:

• Add devices to the platform.

• Remove devices from the platform.

• Associate devices with access points. When adding a new device, the administrator can associate it with an access point immediately or add it without an access point. If a device is added without an access point, the administrator can associate it with an access point later through the access point settings.

• Remove devices from access points.

• Configure how users access the premises through an intercom.

• Associate user profiles with intercoms. This feature is available only for devices associated with an access point.

• View the complete list of devices, including devices added to and removed from the platform.

• Monitor device status and key parameters.

Connect a camera with an intercom

If the intercom supports video communication, configure the intercom and camera connection on the platform as follows:

1. Create a camera on the platform under Platform tree > Location > Video surveillance. When creating the camera, enable Intercom camera. This setting allows the camera and intercom to be associated on the platform. For detailed instructions on creating a camera, see the administrator documentation page Add a camera.

2. In the camera card, open the Video streams tab and add the video streams. For detailed instructions on adding intercom camera streams, see the administrator documentation page Video streams. At this stage, the administrator needs the username and password for the intercom web interface and the intercom IP address.
