Create and manage a group of plans. Web client user

For efficient organization and management of video surveillance, users can group plans according to various criteria. Plan groups created by a user are accessible only to that user in both Desktop and Web interfaces.

Create a group of plans

The user can create a separate group of plans and a group within the main group of plans.

To create a plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Expand the Plans section and select the Add icon.

  2. From the opened menu, select Add plan group.

  1. In the opened window, enter a plan group name. You can use Cyrillic, Latin, numeric characters, hyphens, and the following symbols: !@#$%^&*()[]{}<>,_-.

  2. To complete the action, select Add. To cancel, use Cancel.

As a result, the plan group will be added to the list of plans and plan groups. Next, you can edit it, add plans and group plans if required.

To create a plan group within another plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Hover over the group name where you would like to add a plan group, and select the context menu icon ().

  2. From the opened menu, select Add plan group.

  1. In the opened window, enter a plan group name. You can use Cyrillic, Latin, numeric characters, hyphens, and the following symbols: !@#$%^&*()[]{}<>,_-.

  2. To complete the action, select Add. To cancel, use Cancel.

As a result, the added group will be displayed in the parent plan group. Next, you can edit it, add plans and group plans if required.

Manage a group of plans

The following options are available to the user to manage a group of plans:

Add a plan to a plan group

You can add a plan to a plan group in one of the following ways:

  • Create a plan in the plan group.

  • Transfer (move) a plan to plan group.

Create a plan in the plan group

To create a plan in a plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Hover over the plan group name where you would like to add a plan and select the context menu icon ().

  2. From the drop-down list, select Add plan to group.

  3. In the opened window, enter a plan name. You can use Cyrillic, Latin, numeric characters, hyphens, and the following symbols: !@#$%^&*()[]{}<>,_-.

  4. To complete the action, select Save. To cancel, use Cancel.

As a result, the created plan will be added to the current plan group. You can further edit and manage the plan. For details on how to manage the plan, see the Create and manage a plan article.

Transfer a plan to plan group

You can move a plan to a plan group in one of the following ways:

  • Drag a plan from one group into another, or a separate plan into a group. For this, left-click the plan and drag to a relevant group. You can cancel the action with Esc while holding the plan with the mouse.

  • Move a separate plan or a plan from a plan group by following the steps:

  1. Call out the context menu of a selected plan by selecting the horizontal ellipses icon ().

  2. From the opened menu, select Transfer.

  3. From the newly opened drop-down list, select a plan group to move this plan into.

  4. Select Transfer to complete the action.

Clear a plan group

Use the Clear group option to clear a plan group. This action deletes all plans and plan groups that were added to this plan group.

To clear a plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Call out the context menu of a selected plan group by selecting the horizontal ellipses icon ().

  2. Select Clear group.

  1. Confirm the action by selecting Clear. To cancel the action, select Cancel.

Delete a plan group

Use the Delete group option to delete the plan group and all the included plans and groups within this group.

To delete a plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Call out the context menu of a selected plan group by selecting the horizontal ellipses icon ().

  2. Select Delete group.

  3. Confirm the action by selecting Delete. To cancel the action, select Cancel.

As a result of deleting a plan group:

  • When a plan group is deleted, any cameras associated with those plans will be unlinked from the deleted plans and no longer display the Plans icon.

  • If the deleted plans were added to the map, these plans will be removed from the map view.

Rename a plan group

To rename a plan group, follow the steps:

  1. Call out the context menu of a selected plan group by selecting the horizontal ellipses icon ().

  2. Select Rename group and rename the group.

  3. Confirm the action with Rename. To cancel the action, select Cancel.
