The Desktop client. Requirements for video walls

In this article, you find the hardware and software specifications needed for optimal Desktop client performance that are determined by the quantity of video streams and image quality.

The requirements to video streams playback:

Playback of one stream:

  • HD Quality (1920x1080) up to 4 Mbps, 170 MB RAM.

  • SD Quality (640x480) up to 0.3 Mbps, 50 МB RAM.

Playback of six streams:

  • HD Quality (1920x1040) up to 25 Mbps, 1000 MB RAM.

  • SD Quality (640x480]) up to 3 Mbps, 300 MB RAM.

Up to 25 video streams in the layout (up to 6 video streams of HD quality in the layout)

  • Windows 10 (with the latest Service Pack installed) 64 bit or newer.

  • Intel Core i5 (the 6th generation and newer) or AMD Ryzen 5 (the 5th generation and newer).

  • 8 4 GB RAM or more.

  • A video card: discrete (from 2GB).

  • A storage device: SSD 256 GB.

 

Up to 49 video streams in the layout (up to 10 video streams of HD quality in the layout)

  • Windows 10 (with the latest Service Pack installed) 64 bit or newer.

  • Intel Core i7 (the 8th generation and newer) or AMD Ryzen 7 (the 6th generation and newer).

  • 16 GB RAM or more.

  • A video card: NVidia GeForce 4 GB (or analogs).

  • A storage device: SSD 256 GB.

 

Up to 150 video streams in 4 layouts (up to 16 video streams of HD quality, totally counted)

  • Windows 10 (with the latest Service Pack installed) 64 bit or newer.

  • Processor: Intel Core i9 (the 12th generation or newer) or AMD Ryzen 9 (the 7th generation or newer).

  • 64 GB RAM or more.

  • A video card: PNY Quadro P2200 5 GB GDDR5 VCQP2000-BLS and newer.

  • A storage device: SSD 256 GB.

A display scale of 100% is recommended. You can adjust the display scale in your operating system settings.
